ColorFinder 5 ist eine bildanalytische Software für die kriminaltechnische Spuren­auswertung bei Schussdelikten. Mikroskopisch kleine Färbungen werden in gigabyte­großen Bildern gefunden, klassifiziert und gerichts­verwertbar dokumentiert.

ColorFinder 5 is image-analysis software for forensic evidence work in shooting incidents. Microscopic colour signatures are located in gigabyte-scale images, classified, and documented for court use.

Micrometre-scale particles within gigabyte-scale images

Nach großflächiger Spuren­sicherung und chemischer Färbung schmauch­relevanter Partikel werden ca. 30 µm große Farb­flächen automatisiert detektiert und markiert. Voraussetzung ist die hoch­auflösende Digitalisierung der Spuren­träger.

Following large-area evidence collection and chemical staining of residue-relevant particles, colour areas of approximately 30 µm are detected and marked automatically. High-resolution digitisation of the evidence carriers is the prerequisite.
